Evira introduces – the new medication module

We are pleased to launch a new feature in Evira that provides enhanced support for obesity treatment – where medication can be part of a comprehensive treatment strategy.

The new module has been specifically developed to facilitate your work with medication treatment using approved medications for obesity, such as GLP-1 receptor agonists. You can easily record initiation, dosage, and changes over time.

The purpose is not to follow medication treatment in isolation, but to provide a holistic view of the treatment – allowing you to see how the medication interacts with other interventions and if the balance in the treatment appears to be right for the patient.

The function is based on current evidence and clinical guidelines, making it possible to track the patient's progress over time in a structured and coherent way.

With the help of the new feature, it is possible to:

  • Select the current drug substance (GLP-1 medication) and specify the dose, start of treatment, and whether the treatment is paused or terminated.
  • Visually track the patient's BMI SDS development in relation to the treatment with the obesity medication.
  • Filter by medication in the patient list.
  • Available substances in Evira: Liraglutid, Semaglutid, Tirzepatid.

Post-registration

Some of you already prescribe medication to some of your patients. Here is a video showing you how to retrospectively register medication treatment in Evira for these patients.
